“科学解释与科学方法论”国际学术会议通知

为了推动科学技术哲学研究的国际化发展，促进国际学术交流与合作，繁荣发展哲学社会科学事业，教育部人文社会科学重点研究基地——山西大学科学技术哲学研究中心拟订于2012年9月17-19日在山西太原召开“科学解释与科学方法论”国际学术研讨会，会议工作语言为英语，欢迎国内外学者踊跃参加。
1.会议主题：科学解释与科学方法论
2.会议议题：
（1）一般科学哲学
（2）自然科学前沿中的哲学问题
（3）社会科学哲学
3.会议宗旨：展示当代科学解释与科学方法论研究最新成果，促进实质性的国际学术交流与合作，推动我国科学技术哲学研究的国际化发展。
4.会议时间：2012年9月17－19日，17日全天报到
5. 会议地点：山西省太原市
6.预期人数：80人，国外约35人，国内报满为止
7.会议费用：不收会务费与资料费，食宿及交通费用自理
8.征稿要求：
（1）会议论文语言为英文，围绕“科学解释与科学方法论”主题，篇幅以10000-15000词为宜，附300-500词摘要
（2）论文格式参照《Philosophy of Science》杂志相关要求，文本为PDF或WORD（MS Office）格式
（3）论文摘要于2012年5月30日以前、全文于2012年6月30日前以电子邮件的形式发送至：sems2012.sxu@gmail.com

The international conference on Scientific Explanation and Methodology of Science to be held on 17~19 September 2012 is sponsored by the Research Center for Philosophy of Science and Technology (RCPST) at Shanxi University, P. R. China.
The theme of the conference is “Scientific Explanation and Methodology of Science” understood both in general and in specific disciplines, such as in mathematics, physics, biology, psychology, as well as various areas in social sciences.
There are two main purposes for this conference. It aims at bringing together a diverse group of international researchers who can show their latest work to the forum; and it also aims at promoting the exchange of ideas between researchers in China and those from the international community. Researchers inside China in these areas will be invited to give talks or participate at the conference as well.
English will be the conference language.

Call for papers
Conference Papers should be written in English.
The suggested length of full paper is 10000-15000 words, the abstract, 300～500 words.
